In the context of COVID-19, this means teachers and students are responsible for their own personal self-care, which includes frequent hand washing and staying home when sick. Also, please report unsafe conditions during class to each other and the Teachers.
The following guidelines will provide you as a potential student with information and resources to assist you in ensuring the risk of exposure to the virus that causes COVID-19 is minimized while attending classes.
We Will Provide:
- We will sanitize washrooms, door handles, light switches, desks, chairs, coffee tools and machinery when necessary.
- Gloves and face shields are available for your use, not mandatory unless provincial/municipal authorities deem it to be.
We Expect Your Participation by:
- An easily accessible hand-washing station is set up on site for all students and Teachers. Please wash your hands upon arriving for class, before and after breaks, before and after handling common tools, materials and equipment.
- Please bring with you a face mask/respirator to wear (not mandatory unless provincial/municipal authorities deem it to be) , gloves, pen and paper for note taking, drinks and food that you can easily serve yourself with.
- Please do not share food or drink items and maintain socially safe distances at all times.
If you have any of the other symptoms, stay home and minimize your contact with others until your symptoms resolve.
If you have arrived from outside of Canada, or have been in contact of a confirmed COVID-19 case, Please notify us immediately and self-isolate for xx days (# of days are dependant on provincial/municipal authorities) and monitor for symptoms.

After your registration of classes you will receive our self assessment survey and be required to either email your vaccination status PDF or show proof of vaccination (eligible to receive the vaccine) prior to classroom entry.
As we continue to navigate these unprecedented times, we believe this policy to be essential in delivering a safe environment for our students and staff.

We will be implementing a COVID-19 vaccination policy effective immediately that will require all students/customers (eligible to receive the vaccine), staff and employees to be fully vaccinated for the in-person classes at our campuses. COVID-19 is of concern to us all, and at this time we are closely following Health Recommendations by the Government of Canada as well as following the lead of our public schools. We are offering online courses until such time that we can re-open our campuses and have our in-person classes once again.
These measures taken are meant to contain COVID-19.
The Academy has 3 campuses in British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario. Some of our Teachers instruct at multiple campuses.
We are putting all the Academy classes in Hiatus until further notice.
We can provide video and or phone consultation to those of you in a time sensitive part of your project, for example, your lease is about to start and readying to open your cafe, you are in mid-construction, etc,…
This consultation class will help with the issues you might face in such a time-sensitive situation.
This option is not the full course that we normally offer , which is both an in-person and hands on experience at the campus, but, meant to relieve any undue pressure that time-sensitive projects can produce. And, if you are already registered for the Opening a Coffee Business Course than you will have your original registration still in-tact.
If you can wait until a later date, then, please choose from our online calendar any of date(s) that you like and we will make sure to register you for that.
