"We did our Barista Level 1 training course to prepare for barista training in our brunch restaurant. Nicole was extremely helpful in understanding the goal of our training and coordinating with the class trainer, Gio, to tailor the course to best match our goals! Nicole was also incredibly accommodating when it came to scheduling the class and helping with submitting the payment, making the whole process very easy and smooth.

Finally, Gio our Barista trainer, was absolutely amazing. She was very nice and welcoming. Her level of knowledge and skills when it came to espresso and coffee was clearly high but she has a great ability of simplifying everything and breaking it down into steps. The class was a great mix of learning about coffee and espresso, but also getting a lot of hands on training. I already feel comfortable using and showing staff how to grind, tamp and pull a shot of espresso after this class.

Highly recommend the Canadian Barista Institute to anyone looking to learn how to make espresso and operate espresso machines. (Bonus if you can get trained by Gio, she was the best!) if I need to take further training, I will 100% be coming here to take the level 2 course! :)"
