"The Canadian Barista Institute gave me the confidence and knowledge to open my own coffee shop in Aurora, ON. Jamie was great. We learned the fundamentals of opening a coffee shop which included the good, the bad and the ugly side of the business. This knowledge really helped prepare me for the first few months after opening when I questioned if I had done the right thing because it was really hard. But almost a year later I have put the tools to use that I learned from Jamie and business continues to grow. It's still hard work but I know what I need to do thanks to Jamie and the course I took at the CBI."
